Arrivederci Italia

Til I return again

Venice

I woke up to a smelly surrounding and with an aching back. Lesson of the day - do not stay in cheap hostels near the smaller canals. It stinks during the summer.

The real touring around the Grand Canal and Piazza San Marco began. The weather was scorching hot!

Sadly, we had to rush through everything. I regret not being able to further explore the piazza because our train back to Milan was scheduled at 2pm.
We also needed the time to purchase souvenirs back home. Everywhere we see shops selling trinkets and masks. It was quite amazing.

With all the complains I had about Italy in these past 3 posts, I did asked myself - will I return to Italy? The answer is yes. Italy had so much to offer, and my 2 days trip was actually too short, and marred with incidents that spoilt the trip somewhat. But no matter. Florence and Rome remains as a future target city to visit, and as mentioned previously, I would love to visit Milan again, if only to properly explore it.

Goodbye Italy, and I will definitely return again.
